Colombian singer Maluma had an awkward moment during one of his concerts in Mexico when he spotted a woman in the crowd with a baby less than a year old.
The Felices los 4 performer halted the show after noticing the mother moving the baby “as if it were a toy” and trying to bring the child closer to the stage.
Visibly upset, the Medellín-born artist asked her not to approach and questioned whether it was appropriate to bring such a young child to an event with extremely loud sound.
“To a concert where the decibels are in the f***ing gutter, where the sound is blasting? That baby doesn’t even know what it’s doing here. Next time, protect its ears or something,” he told the crowd of thousands.

“Honestly, what a shame. That’s an act of irresponsibility, and you’re moving him around as if he were a toy.”
“That child doesn’t want to be here. I say this with all love and respect: I would never have brought París to a concert at one year old,” he added.

The artist also expressed regret that such situations occur, urging parents to be more mindful of children’s well-being.
The incident sparked debate on social media, where followers largely agreed that the baby’s safety should have been the priority.
Some criticized the mother for exposing the child to the crowd and loud music, calling her action “a lack of common sense.”
Others pointed out that the issue also lay with event security and organization for allowing such a young child to enter.
Public support and criticism online
Among the comments, notable ones included: “Maluma is absolutely right” and “Who in their right mind would bring a baby to a concert?”
While the situation didn’t disrupt the remainder of the show, it clearly left Maluma uncomfortable, as he reflected on how he would feel if it were his own daughter París in that position.
The episode follows another moment on the same tour, when he lost one of his exclusive caps — reminding him of an incident early in his career when an earring was stolen.
With his reaction, Maluma sent a clear message about parental responsibility in large gatherings and the importance of protecting children in high-risk environments.
